My wife is very afraid of birds. She does not mind when they are not close to her, which is the majority of the time. However, when my business moved to a new area, there was definitely a bird problem there. Her visits to my workplace became less often because of the bird issues, and I knew something needed to be done about it. I looked into bird removal services because I knew that while most people did not have the same severe bird phobia that my wife does, that the birds were still a nuisance to anyone coming to where I work.
There is a company that is not too far from me that handles bird problems, and they serve a wide area in the region. When I explained what my problem was, the first thing they wanted to do was come over and look at the building and give me an estimate on what it would cost if they could help me. They were very professional and offered several different solutions. The easiest one, which would be extremely effective, was to put bird spikes on the roof.
The birds would not be hurt by these, but they also discouraged them from landing and roosting on the roof. Without this, they would not stay in the immediate area. They would fly off to another area where they are able to roost much easier. I thought that it would take a short while to notice a difference, but the effects of having the bird spikes was noticeable right away. It makes sense when you think about it that the birds are going to leave quickly if they cannot roost there anymore, and I was just happy that the birds were not going to be a nuisance for me or anyone else in the area any longer. My wife is also very happy!
